MJ Jacobs

Urban/Community Planner

Before joining Altair, MJ Jacobs studied urban studies and philosophy at the University of Pittsburgh, interning at the City of Pittsburgh, Pitt’s Community Engagement Center in Homewood, and Pittsburgh-area advocacy organizations. MJ Jacobs started at Altair as an intern in 2024 working with the consulting team on community planning, data collection, and grant compliance projects. After graduating from the University of Pittsburgh Honors College with her Bachelor of Arts in May 2025, MJ joined the Altair team full-time as an urban/community planner. At Altair, MJ approaches communities with curiosity, active listening, and a grounded understanding of data.
